Tragedy struck at the departure lounge of
the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos on Wednesday, February
17.
A middle-aged woman scheduled to fly
with one of the foreign airlines was found dead in one of the toilets at the
airport.
A mild bout of drama ensued at the
departure lounge of the airport upon discovery of her corpse in the toilet.
While Spokesman of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Yakubu
Dati, has confirmed the tragic incident, the circumstances that led to her
death are not clear yet.
She was however, believed to be
travelling out of the country for medical check-up although her destination
hasn’t yet been ascertained.
The deceased was reported to have felt some
pain in her body, which made her rush to the toilet where she subsequently
died.
FAAN spokesperson promised to give
details of what happened after the agency had carried out its investigations.
